For rigid polyurethane foams used in insulation: Rigid polyurethane foams are widely used in building insulation materials. Polyether polyols used in their production need to be highly pure to achieve excellent thermal insulation performance. Magnesium aluminum carbonate adsorbent can efficiently remove catalyst residues and polar impurities from polyether polyols. A large - scale insulation materials producer in North America found that by using this adsorbent, the thermal conductivity of their rigid polyurethane foam products was reduced by 10%, which means better energy - saving performance for buildings.
