Product Introduction:
Magnesium Silicate is a fine, white, odorless, and free-flowing powder that is specifically manufactured and purified for use in the food industry. It is an inorganic compound, and in its most common form used in food processing, it is also known as Synthetic Amorphous Hydrated Magnesium Silicate. Food-grade magnesium silicate serves as an efficient filter aid in the treatment of waste frying oil, primarily functioning to purify and extend the oil’s usable life.

Food Grade Magnesium Silicate acts as an excellent filter aid and adsorbent for the treatment of used frying oil. Its efficacy stems from its unique physical and chemical properties:
Particle Capture: It forms a porous, permeable layer on the filter screen that effectively traps suspended solid particles and fine food residues.
Adsorption of Soluble Impurities: Its high surface area and active sites allow it to adsorb soluble impurities, including:
1.Free Fatty Acids (FFA): Reducing the FFA content, which improves the oil's stability and smoke point.
2.Color Bodies: Adsorbing dark-colored pigments to lighten the oil's appearance.
3.Polar Compounds: Removing some polar degradation products that contribute to off-flavors and reduced frying performance.
